Brazilian Association of Software Companies

ABES, the Brazilian Association of Software Companies, is the most representative entity of the industry, with approximately 1580 associated companies, distributed in 21 States in Brazil, responsible for the generation of over 120 thousand direct jobs and an annual turnover around US$ 20 billion a year.

The companies members of ABES represent 85% of the total sales of the software development and commercialization segment in Brazil and 32% of the total IT sector revenues, equivalent to USD 61.6 billion among software sales, IT services and hardware, in 2013.

Since its foundation on September 9, 1986, the entity has performed the task of representing the industry in the legislative and tax areas, proposing and directing policies aimed at strengthening the value chain of the Brazilian Software and Services Industry – IBSS, advocating national and international software intellectual property and piracy combat and in support of initiatives to promote research, development, innovation and development of national software.

CONTEC is certified by ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies – an evidence that all the Company’s computer programs are covered by their relevant licenses. This means that the Company does not use any kind of pirate software or of dubious origin.
